The Global Challenges Conference 2026, hosted at Spui 5, Leiden University’s new campus in The Hague, is a student-led interdisciplinary event designed to bridge academic insight with student engagement and real-world relevance.

Under the theme Discover, Discuss, Drive Change, the conference creates a space where students from all majors, from Global Health and International Justice to Governance, Sustainability and Culture, directly engage with scholars and professionals at the forefront of contemporary global issues.

Participants are invited to critically explore how global systems operate, how power structures shape outcomes, and how meaningful change can be driven across sectors. Throughout the day, attendees will experience:
